Chevron is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience with development of voluntary standards (through organizations such as ISSB, GHGP, OECD), sustainability, and collaborating with stakeholders to support various initiatives. This role requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and execution of drafting external voluntary standards that impact our business, ensuring alignment with requirements and best practices.

  • Collaborate with external experts, agencies, and internal teams to establish voluntary standards that improve operational efficiency and compliance, primarily focused on the sustainability space.

  • Provide guidance to our internal SMEs and teams on the processes for standards development, revisions, and updates.

  • Develop frameworks for tracking, measuring, and reporting on external standards adoption and impact.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, finance or related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead the development of external voluntary standards, including managing research, drafting, stakeholder consultations, and reviews.

  • Proficiency in engaging with external experts, agencies, and internal teams to establish and maintain standards that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

  • Ability to engage with diverse external stakeholders to build and maintain productive relationships that support standards-setting initiatives and regulatory compliance.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple stakeholders and high-profile assignments with outstanding results.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and networks, align resources and collaborate across teams to deliver excellent results the right way.
