Chevron operates through two subsidiaries in the Philippines. Our Downstream company is Chevron Philippines Inc. We also operate a business processes support organization through Chevron Holdings Inc.
There are two Chevron companies operating in the Philippines: Chevron Holdings Incorporated (CHI) and Chevron Philippines Incorporated (CPI).
CHI is a shared services center providing transactional, processing, and consulting services in the areas of finance and accounting, information technology, supply chain management, human resources, downstream customer service and marketing. Established in 1998, CHI serves Chevron affiliates in six continents around the world. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the leading members of the shared services industry in the Philippines.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Advisor. This role will be based in6750 Building, Makati City, Philippines.
Position Overview
This role is part of Chevron’s Category Management and Contracting team based in Makati, Philippines. The team is responsible for managing extensive volumes of commercial contracts for various business units within Chevron. The position involves exciting opportunity to handle a portfolio of contracts with varying complexities while collaborating directly with business partners and category managers across cultures and time zones discussing contracting strategies. It requires a strong business focus, expertise in commercial contracting, critical thinking, a confident communication style, and the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with internal Chevron stakeholders and external suppliers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Legal Terms: Understand and fluently apply key legal terms needed in commercial contracts for services within the Chevron business context.
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, negotiate, and finalize commercial exhibits that align with the scope of work and business objectives, ensuring all contracts are comprehensive, clear, and enforceable.
- Scope of Work: Assist business partners in drafting scopes of work and review them to mitigate commercial risks and address gaps.
- Data Analysis: Utilize strong analytical skills to identify data that will be helpful for contract analysis, convert data into useful information, and analyze to prepare contracting strategies that meet business priorities and drive commercial success.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business partners, legal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on contract terms and business strategies.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all parties involved in the contracting process, including suppliers, legal experts, and internal teams.
- Tech mindset: Possess a tech-savvy mindset and embrace technology to enhance efficiency.
About You

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law or Engineering. Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in tendering, category management, end-to-end contracting, and legal and commercial negotiation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing services contracts end to end.
- Leading contract negotiations with suppliers.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate and influence all levels up to senior management.
- Proficient in using communication and presentation skills to solve problems, convey concepts and objectives, negotiate, and build rapport with team members and clients/customers.
- Should be willing to work on a mid shift (Manila time)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the Oil & Gas Industry, manufacturing facility, or any other industry with similar business processes.
- Extensive experience with commercial contracting for services such as engineering services, professional services, logistics, marketing, plant maintenance, and operations.
- Contracting experience on EPC projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
