About the position
Chevron ENGINE has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Writer to join the Project Engineering team. Reporting to the Team Lead, this role will be based in Chevron’s office in Bengaluru.
The DM&C Technical Writer partners with Operations and Maintenance support teams to develop, revise, and manage operations, laboratory, and maintenance procedures, work
instructions, and other materials. This role requires close collaboration with representatives from operations, laboratories, and maintenance groups across various DM&C assets. Additionally, the Technical Writer works alongside engineering professionals on technical projects, as well as ENGINE technical personnel, to ensure all DM&C procedures are administered in alignment with enterprise and DM&C standards for Operating Procedures. The role also ensures compliance with key metrics, such as timely validations and efficient change of cycle times.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Operations and Laboratory Procedures.
o Execute the technical writing tasks for Procedure Hub workflows, including handling Change, Modification, and New Content requests. This involves creating and updating Job Aids, Operations Work Instructions, Operating Procedures, Emergency Operating Procedures, Temporary Operating Procedures, and Operating Manuals.
o Work collaboratively with the DM&C-based Operations Representatives in the Technical Controls team to ensure alignment.
o Ensure accurate and timely processing of workflow requests to ensure key performance metrics are met (Zero Overdue Validations and Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
