About Checkr

Checkr is building the data platform to power safe and fair decisions. Established in 2014, Checkr’s innovative technology and robust data platform help customers assess risk and ensure safety and compliance to build trusted workplaces and communities. Checkr has over 100,000 customers including Door Dash, Coinbase, Lyft, Instacart, and Airtable.

We’re a team that thrives on solving complex problems with innovative solutions that advance our mission. Checkr is recognized on Forbes Cloud 100 2025 List and is a Y Combinator 2024 Breakthrough Company.

About the Role

Truework, recently acquired by Checkr, provides access to crucial employment, income information and asset information needed for mortgage loans, apartment rentals, background checks, and more. We are disrupting a $5B+ industry, dominated by legacy incumbents and outdated processes, with a better product and intense customer focus. Within Checkr, Truework operates independently, allowing rapid iteration while also being able to leverage the strengths and assets from our core business. Think of it like joining a startup within a startup!

As a Partnerships Manager, Strategic on the Truework team, you’ll own our most critical partnerships with Government Sponsored Enterprises Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as well as a number of our referral and channel partners, like Blend. You’ll be in an uniquely hybrid position that requires both strategic business and as well as product/technical knowledge to design, iterate, and grow our solutions through these partnerships. This role partners across multiple organizations including Sales, Customer Success, Solutions, Product, and Engineering.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow executive-level relationships with Truework’s strategic partners

  • Lead strategy, go to market process, and product discovery, iteration, and releases for our strategic partners such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Blend - aligning closely with our Product organization.

  • Acquire new opportunities and revenue streams via our Partners to contribute towards our continued growth

  • Build and design up the partner program on how to effectively manage and drive our internal processes for the future

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of prior experience in tech or fintech

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and independent self-starter

  • Effective communicator both internally and externally, with an expert attention to detail and opportunities to drive success

  • Resourcefulness, creativity and grit to push through obstacles and achieve results

  • Experience with data analysis and software concepts (eg APIs) is a plus

  • Experience with government entities or mortgage is a plus

  • An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.

What you’ll get

  • A fast-paced and collaborative environment

  • Learning and development allowance

  • Competitive cash and equity compensation, and opportunity for advancement

  • 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Up to $25K reimbursement for fertility, adoption, and parental planning services

  • Flexible PTO policy

  • Monthly wellness stipend
