Company Description
We’re Checkout.com – you might not know our name, but companies like eBay, ASOS, Klarna, Uber Eats, and Sony do. That moment when you check out online? We make it happen.
Checkout.com is where the world checks out. Our global network powers billions of transactions every year, making money move without making a fuss. We spent years perfecting a service most people will never notice. Because when digital payments just work, businesses grow, customers stay, and no one stops to think about why.
With 19 offices spanning six continents, we feel at home everywhere – but London is our HQ. Wherever our people work their magic, they’re fast-moving, performance-obsessed, and driven by being better every day. Ideal. Because a role here isn’t just another job; it’s a career-defining opportunity to build the future of fintech.
The Mission
We are looking for a highly analytical business builder to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for opening doors at the world’s most prestigious brands, but you will do so by working smarter, not just harder.
We are not looking for someone to simply "dial for dollars." We are looking for a strategic operator who loves tinkering, testing, and optimizing. You will combine high-volume activity with high-precision targeting, utilizing data and technology to architect your own success.
What You’ll Do
- Drive High-Velocity Growth:
Your primary metric is generating qualified initial meetings at volume. You will engage the market through a high number of touchpoints (calls, emails, LinkedIn), consistently opening doors to build pipeline.
- Execute & Optimize Workflows:
Don't just follow the process - improve it. Manage your pipeline efficiently, but constantly look for ways to increase your "conversion yield." You will A/B test your messaging, analyze your own metrics, and refine your approach based on evidence.
- Leverage & Evolve the Stack:
Proactively use and push the limits of our sales technology (CRM, Intent Data, Enrichment tools). You bring a curiosity to try new things, test new tools, and experiment with different ways to uncover opportunities others miss.
- Operational Rigor & Data Hygiene:
You view the CRM not just as a database, but as an operating system. You will maintain impeccable data standards, ensuring every interaction is logged accurately, because you understand that bad data breaks automation and leads to bad decisions.
What You Bring
- The "Hacker" Mindset:
You love tinkering and testing. You are the type of person who uses keyboard shortcuts, looks for automations to solve repetitive tasks, and hates doing things manually twice. You see a workflow and immediately think, "How can I make this faster?"
- Resilience, Grit & Iteration:
In this role, you will hear "no" more than "yes." You use that as motivation. You treat rejection as a data point; analyzing why it didn't work, tweaking your variables, and trying again with a better approach.
- Intellectual Curiosity:
You have a relentless drive to understand how things work. You aren't satisfied with surface-level answers; you want to understand the mechanics of the financial technology industry.
- Analytical Precision:
You are comfortable with numbers and data. You understand that "clean data" is the foundation of a successful sales strategy.
Requirements
- Relevant Experience:
Previous BDR/GTM experience is required (6 months - 2 years). You know what "good" looks like in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Technical Competency:
Familiarity with logic-based tools is essential. Experience with Zapier, Clay, Advanced Excel, or basic SQL/API knowledge is highly preferred.
- Systems Thinking:
You have a demonstrated ability to spot inefficiencies in a process and suggest improvements.
Growth Mindset:
We are looking for a "Learn-it-all," not a "Know-it-all." You are eager to master complex concepts, adapt to new technologies, and grow your skillset.
We recognize that talent comes in many forms. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we still encourage you to apply
Additional Information Bring all of you to work
We create the conditions for high performers to thrive, through real ownership, fewer blockers, and work that makes a difference from day one.
Here, you’ll move fast, take on meaningful challenges, and be recognized for the impact you deliver. It’s a place where ambition gets met with opportunity, and where your growth is in your hands.
We work as one team, and we back each other to succeed. So whatever your background or identity, if you’re ready to grow and make a difference, you’ll be right at home here.
It’s important we set you up for success and make our process as accessible as possible. So let us know in your application, or tell your recruiter directly, if you need anything to make your experience or working environment more comfortable.
