As a Sr. Manager within the Wealth & Product Risk & Governance (WP R&G) organization, you'll play a key role in enabling strategic product and offer initiatives across Wealth Advisory, Banking, and Trust (WABT) and SIPSS. In this role, you'll help teams move forward confidently by identifying risk, guiding change, and strengthening governance-while supporting business growth.
You'll partner closely with business leaders and second line of defense teams to translate complex risk considerations into practical, scalable solutions. Your ability to think strategically, manage change, and influence across organizations will directly support Schwab's delivery of trusted, industry-leading wealth and advice services.
What you have Required qualifications
- Risk change management
- Ability to develop and execute risk change management assessments and implementation plans that support evolving products, platforms, and offers.
- Effective communication- Ability to communicate clearly with senior leaders through written updates and executive-level presentations
- Strategic risk advisory
- Demonstrated ability to balance effective risk mitigation with business enablement in a dynamic financial services environment.
- Regulatory and compliance knowledge
- Working understanding of legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements applicable to broker-dealers, RIAs, and wealth management organizations.
- Relationship management and influence
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships, collaborate across functions, and influence outcomes with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
- Financial services risk & controls experience
- Experience working in risk, control, supervisory, or oversight roles within financial services.
- Experience supporting large-scale product, platform, or regulatory initiatives in a complex enterprise environment
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and adapting quickly as priorities evolve
