Why This Mission:
With the strategic intent of Singapore being the hub of Fashion authority within the SEAA region and our uniqueness of driving One Boutique One Story, this role is to steer the Merchandising team in the Singapore market to take a proactive role being an advocate of Brand and Image to assert the brand leadership and grow the business quantitatively, building the long-term value of the brand for clients of today and tomorrow.
Creation, expressed through collections all year long, is at the heart of our differentiation. The key mission of this role is to elevate the qualitative category merchandising streams and to provide continuous business empowerment to assert Fashion singularity, support Creation and amplify the collection message while bringing relevance to the diversity of our clients in the Singapore market.

LEAD PRODUCT STRATEGY AND EXECUTION PLAN

Evaluate potential business model, define and deploy implementation roadmap to further build Brand Image, Desirability and Vitality.

Innovate and find new levers in the 360-degree development plan. Collaborate with all teams to implement successful execution and action plans.

Support merchandising planning, markets and global team to maximize the stock opportunities

Monitor of the implementation of the product strategy
COLLECTION ASSORTMENT AND BUYING RECOMMENDATIONS BASED ON DATA ANALYSIS AND BUSINESS INISGHTS

Prepare Pre-buys (OTB/Sales Analysis/Pre-Buy & Sell Thru reports).

Lead Buys in the showroom (6 times a year) working collaboratively within Merchandising team as well as cross métiers, e.g. Style Expertise, Visual Merchandising, Retail, Press, etc.
-
Lead Post-buys collaborations and drive strategic decision making across stakeholders from cross metiers (Sharing, Deep Listening, Convincing, Open Minded).

Be responsible for the full assortment, order follow up .
BUSINESS AND PRODUCT INTELLIGENCE

Develop strong knowledge of the market clients through previous experience, detailed analysis of the business and strong interactions with cross metiers within Singapore e.g. Style Expertise, Visual Merchandising, Retail etc.to influence product strategy.

Provide relevant merchandising business reports (trends, new products, customers’ habits, product marketing activities, pricing, etc.) to Local, Regional and Global partners.

Initiate business reports for internal stakeholders, to help them better understand trends, needs and product specificities (quantitative and qualitative side).

Share regular and actionable findings with stakeholders to define action plans.

Follow the KPIs (Sales, SOH, Sell Thru) in alignment with Market objectives.

Define Market ad-hoc needs on business analysis, share feedback and requests to the regional Merchandising team.

Carry out regular market research and competitor analysis, getting insights from the market team, the regional & global teams, etc.
TEAM DEVELOPENT AND COLLABORATION WITH OTHER STAKE HOLDERS

Lead and develop a team of two merchandisers in Singapore through effective team design, allocation of categories, performance management, and capability development

Initiate activities or projects with key stakeholders for the respective categories that brings an impact to the business

Define and implement relevant Merchandising KPIs

Collaborate with VM to optimize product store display and attractiveness thanks to the right assortment provided to each boutique
-
Ensure relevant assortment for each events / marketing activities in boutiques
-
Collaborate with Retail Learning team on the improvement of product knowledge among the staff (active participation to trainings, business knowledge sharing, etc.).

Collaborate with Style Expertise to infuse Chanel allure and Silhouette approach.

Ensure a solid and mutual trust collaboration among all key stakeholders across Singapore’s teams / Global / Regional / Markets.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor Degree holder with minimum 8 years of relevant experience

Proven track record and thorough expertise in merchandising and buying from Fashion luxury industry.

Possess an innovative mindset, able to demonstrate out of the box thinking with the courage to experiment and test new ways of doing things.

Ability to motivate and develop team, and promote high levels of performance.
-
Excellent influencing, relationship management and interpersonal skills are required.

Able to demonstrate strong business acumen and sensitivity to the changes in the external business, social, economic, political and technological environment.
