We're currently looking for a Tech Lead to join the Hexagate team.

Hexagate builds cybersecurity products that protect on-chain and web3 assets. We sit at the intersection of cybersecurity and blockchains—an adversarial space where attacks are constant and response time matters. We’re building a real-time on-chain detection and response platform that combines ML-driven threat intelligence, custom detections, and an LLM-powered rules engine to protect on-chain assets.

WHAT YOU’LL LEAD AND BUILD:

• Technical leadership: set direction for a core area (pipelines, detection platform, response, or LLM systems). Own architecture, roadmap execution, and technical quality.

• Real-time pipelines: lead designs for high-throughput ingestion, normalization, enrichment, and routing of multi-chain activity.

• Detection platform: evolve detection engines across our monitoring DSL, statistical/anomaly models, ML models, and threat intelligence.

• Operational excellence: define standards for reliability and observability. Drive incident learnings, performance work, and production health.

• Team impact: mentor engineers, run design reviews, unblock delivery, and raise the quality bar.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO HAVE:

• Staff level backend engineering, with a track record of leading technical decisions in production systems.

• Distributed systems depth: reliability, latency, concurrency, backpressure, idempotency.

• Strong API design and data modeling skills (relational + event-driven).

• Ability to lead through influence: clear communication, strong judgment, and pragmatic trade-offs.

• High ownership. You drive execution end-to-end and keep systems healthy in production.

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:

• Web3/blockchain experience or strong interest.

• Real-time / streaming data experience.

• Security, fraud, risk, or other adversarial-domain experience.

• Experience building platform capabilities used by other engineers.
