Manager, Finance - Accounting/Medicaid/SQL

Position Purpose:
With the Meridian Illinois Health Plan Finance team, this role will be responsible for the accounting oversight of our Monthly Close process and assist with ad hoc healthcare analytics requiring SQL knowledge.

Ensure that timely and accurate reports are generated.

Produce and analyze complex financial and statistical reports.

Generate and review ad-hoc reports related to quality, cost and effectiveness of healthcare services.

Gather and prepare analysis based on information from various sources and financial reports.

Provide financial and business analysis as required.

Determine appropriate actions and present to upper management.

Develop a thorough understanding of healthcare practices and procedures

Performs other duties as assigned.

Complies with all policies and standards.
Preferred Skills:
Health Care background in Medicare/Medicaid/Marketplace space
Accounting experience
SQL knowledge in writing scripts
Leadership experience managing employees
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience, with emphasis in the health care or insurance industry.
Pay Range: $87,700.00 - $157,800.00 per year
Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
