About the Role:
As a CBRE Technical Sr. Manager, you will manage the team responsible for all Comm Rooms, Structured Cabling operations, maintenance, communications, workforce development programs, and Infrastructure projects for NY Metro and approximately 70 site distributed portfolio of buildings.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing Comm Room support, preventive maintenance, white space condition audits, and repairs on equipment and systems as well as IT project management and Network power down support. This role is a minimum of four days per week in the Client’s NY Office.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assure coverage, assign tasks, review and approve overtime requests, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

  • Manage network operations and Comm Room maintenance for assigned facilities.

  • Develop operating and capital budgets.

  • Manage the team to meet operating budgets, metrics, and KPIs

  • Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an on-going basis. Create and maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals.

  • Point of contact for maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and technicians.

  • Maintain on-going communication with high profile tenants, clients, owners, business units, client IT, facility management team, project management team, MAC (moves adds changes) team and vendors.

  • Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.

  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.

  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline to ensure all KPI’s are met

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.

candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position

$115,000 per year and the maximum salary for the position is

or $225,000 per year. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate

will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also

be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
