About the Role:

As a CBRE Central Utilities Plant Supervisor, you will oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of a central utility plant, ensuring the reliable and efficient delivery of essential services like heating, cooling, and steam generation to a building complex or campus.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:- Act as liaison with technical business leaders, facilities managers, and other internal and external clients to forecast workload demand and project deliverables.

• Manage, plan, coordinate, schedule, and oversee the workload, deadlines, and day-to-day activities of the support team members to ensure effective delivery of services.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the plant, monitoring equipment performance, identifying potential issues, and ensuring efficient energy delivery
• Directly supervise a team of operators, technicians, and other utility plant staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation.
• Plan and manage maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades, to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
• Work with business leaders to resolve conflicting priorities.
• Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
• Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.
• Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.

  What You’ll Need: - High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of HVAC and Boiler operation experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift leader or supervisory experience preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a supervisory role within the facility maintenance department.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

• Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Highly sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate somewhat complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
