About the Role:

The purpose of HVAC engineer is to manage the HVAC equipment reliability for admin and field buildings in an oil petrochemical industry environment.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:- Ensure all routine maintenance works are duly carried out as scheduled and in compliance with Engineering standards and procedures.

• Respond on-call for maintenance/service breakdown and support ongoing operations.
• Provide daily operational support and technical services in a oil petrochemical industry environment including, modifications and changes to processes and equipment, process troubleshooting, root cause analysis and deviation investigation.
• Lead in Root Cause Analysis for equipment breakdowns.
• Participate and lead, when required, in all investigations (contaminations, deviations, and discrepancies) relating to the manufacturing process and propose solution.
• Supervise vendors/service provider’s activities for daily routine HVAC and maintenance work to ensure equipment is maintained in full operational status.
• Work with vendor management for operations and maintenance and spares.
• Perform regular equipment inspections to feedback on status. Supervise repairs/upgrading works to enable smooth handover and minimize disruption to production schedule.
• Maintain all site HVAC in optimum condition in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) & EHS requirements. Ensure all GMP documentation related to maintenance activities is completed accurately and processed to full completion.
• Maintain and update the master HVAC equipment list to ensure accuracy of the equipment list.
• Lead to liaise with client regarding HVAC issues.
• Improving the efficiency of the operational process and implement any cost saving improvement system.
• Project involvement in HVAC related replacement work include review the calculation, drawing preparation till document completion.
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Site Facility Manager, including but not limited to the above.

What You’ll Need:- Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC related

• Minimum 3-5 years in HVAC industry with well knowledge of air-cooled/water cooled chiller, cooling tower system.
• Possess a Class 3 driving licence
• Able to guide and troubleshoot HVAC faults.
• Experience with HVAC hands on projects including technical review to installation complete.
• Good communication skills both in verbal and written.
• Commitment to be call back to site for any emergencies.
• Possess knowledge of the Life Cycle of HVAC system (from design, operations, controls monitoring, maintenance and obsolescence management) will be an advantage.
• Possess a strong safety mindset with knowledge of applicable safety and GMP regulations in oil and gas industry environment. Example LOTO, WAH activities, Lifting activities
