Role Overview:

The UK/Ireland Technology Head will lead the technology organization and initiatives for UK and Ireland. The ideal candidate will have proven technology transformation record with an emphasis on large data transformations. The candidate will have also run mid to large IT organizations with global experience and offshore development experience. The successful candidate will be a proven combination of people leader, executive presence, and technology acumen and will need to balance global products with local development focused on technologies to differentiate the business.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Executive level leader to run technology enablement and data organisations for UK/Ireland.
  • Collaborate with business executive leadership across CBRE Business Lines to align digital strategy to business strategy.
  • Provide technology thought leadership for CRE world class organization. Create best in class platform for CRE business.
  • Manage combination of local and offshore teams to deliver world class IT solutions.
  • Work with global organisation in business, D&T, finance, procurement, legal, HR to ensure solutions are compliant with CBRE standards.
  • Provide guidance on technology stack to ensure best UX, performance, and security.
  • Create and manage AI strategy to apply world class AI solutions to CRE space.
  • Manage data for the organization including governance, quality mgmt., and alignment with AI objectives.
  • Manage financial requirements including capex, opex, resource, sw/hw.
  • Excellent understanding of latest technology trends and innovations in industry that will help in solutioning.
  • New Product envisioning and driving innovation.
  • Product Trainings and Demos for Global and Local products/services and clients.
  • Build and manage world class D&T delivery, data, and change mgmt. teams.
  • Prior Experience in commercial real estate domain will be valuable for the role but not required.
  • Own the Branding of CBRE D&T both Internal & External platforms.
    Person Specification/Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area

  • Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of technical experience in the information technology in various sized organizations in various IT and data related roles.

  • AI Expertise – tangible recent experience

  • Deep expertise in data mgmt. and transformations.

  • Understanding of real estate industry and accounting terms and concepts a Plus

  • Technology thought leader. Understands, develops, and explains technology.

  • Experience with agile software product design principles required.

  • Must possess strong communication, executive, organizational, and critical thinking abilities

  • Personal Characteristics

  • Client delivery mentality with a track record of relationship building and partnering

  • Ability and passion to pick up new technologies and stay on the leading edge of development.

  • Must possess personal and business integrity with an energetic style demonstrated by a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to present data model and technology content with ease.

  • Capable of analyzing data and architectural problems. Must possess the ability to arrive at sound and effective technical solutions.

  • Able to work both autonomously and with appropriate collaboration among other team members and senior management across a highly matrixed organisation.
