About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our Luxembourg team, supporting a key international real estate investment client.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and controlling the day-to-day accounting activities of a portfolio of real estate funds, with a particular focus on financial reporting, fund consolidations, and client service delivery. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of quarterly and annual reporting requirements while maintaining strong relationships with clients, auditors, and other stakeholders.
This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys working in a production-focused accounting environment. Reporting cycles can be demanding, with tight deadlines and complex consolidations requiring a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and ownership.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules.

Lead the preparation and coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables.

Produce and review fund and portfolio-level consolidations.

Ensure accurate and timely delivery of reporting outputs within a fast-paced client environment.

Review the work of Assistant Controllers and Lead Accountants, providing coaching and guidance where required.

Coordinate investor capital calls, distributions, and redemptions.

Prepare financial and management reporting for investors and other stakeholders.

Act as a key point of contact for clients, auditors, tax advisors, and service providers.

Support fund onboarding, restructurings, and liquidation activities.

Assist with due diligence exercises, transactions, and other ad hoc projects.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in speaking with candidates who bring a strong accounting background and experience delivering financial reporting within a service provider, asset manager, fund administrator, or similar environment.
Essential Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Approximately 4–6 years' experience in fund accounting/investment accounting, financial reporting, or a similar role.

Strong experience preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements.

Good knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.

Demonstrable experience operating within a fast-paced reporting environment with tight deadlines.

Experience reviewing work and supporting the development of junior team members.

Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Experience:
-
Real estate fund accounting/investment accounting experience.

Experience gained within a fund administrator, service provider, or similar financial services environment.

Knowledge of InREV reporting.

Luxembourg financial reporting experience.

Experience working with open-ended fund structures.
