Are you a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician ready to ensure the seamless operation of a leading financial client's critical facilities? This dynamic role requires a dedicated professional to maintain optimal conditions, troubleshoot various building systems, and perform essential preventative maintenance. Your proactive approach and problem-solving abilities will be key to minimizing downtime and supporting a high-stakes financial environment.
The primary work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with some flexibility. You'll also participate in a rotational Saturday shift approximately every six weeks, which initiates your on-call week, providing vital support for urgent after-hours needs. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise and contribute directly to the client's operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
- Perform general commercial facilities maintenance, including plumbing repairs, light electrical work, and other routine building upkeep to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Conduct regular checks on facility assets, including doors, electrical systems, HVAC units, and plumbing fixtures.
- Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
- Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
- Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
What You’ll Need
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Valid Driver’s License Required.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
