This position will be working in our Toronto office within the Private Infrastructure team of CBRE Investment Management. The Private Infrastructure team creates long-term value for its fund and separate account clients by sourcing, acquiring and managing high-quality investments and building comprehensive infrastructure portfolios. Today the dedicated team of over 70 professionals in Toronto, London, and Sydney invest approximately US**$9.9** billion on behalf of institutional investors globally.

The Role

We are seeking a Director / Senior Director (Operating Partner) to join our Asset Management team in Toronto. As we scale our Private Infrastructure portfolio, Asset Management plays a mission critical role in driving operational performance and long term value. You will partner with deal teams, senior executives, boards, senior advisors, external operating partners, and other stakeholders to accelerate value creation and manage risk across our assets.

What you’ll do:

• Identify de‑risking and value‑creation opportunities across our direct investments (transportation, energy, and digital infrastructure).
  • Drive and oversee implementation of value‑creation initiatives with management teams and boards.
  • Stress‑test and shape company strategies and operating models.
  • Onboard and support assets throughout the lifecycle, including 100‑day plans; KPIs and targets setting; governance and monitoring frameworks; management incentives and assessments; and more.
  • Develop, analyze, and interpret financial and operational information to diagnose performance, identify early‑warning signals, and design de‑risking plans.
  • Lead cross‑portfolio initiatives and synergies in selected functional areas.
  • When required, lead and coordinate specific value‑creation projects, including post‑merger integrations (bolt‑ons), refinancings, major contract renegotiations, management assessments, and exit preparation.
  • Partner with senior leaders across CBRE to deliver strategic objectives.
  • Support special projects, research, and initiatives related to portfolio investments.
  • Mentor and develop less‑experienced colleagues.
