About the Role:

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for proving support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

Respond to client inquires and concerns, ensuring prompt and quality service delivery and conduct follow ups to ensure customer satisfaction.

Assist with the inspections on the facility.

Assist with furniture movement, client office moves and events set up.

Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs where possible.

Assist with the installation and modification of equipment and systems.

Perform and/or manage ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs within office spaces.

Oversee vendor relationships. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.

Maintain records such as work orders, proposals, and department files.

Create vendor files and check the accuracy of the completed paperwork.

Conduct building walk arounds to develop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio buildings their layouts, functions and complexities

Investigate faults, identify causes and effect remedies

Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.

Create work orders and assign to multiple technicians, subcontractors and vendors.

Communicate work orders to technicians and aid management in problem-solving.

Generate reports on open and closed work orders and verify their status with the appropriate technician or vendor.

Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations, as well as ensuring compliance with service levels. Suggest operational efficiencies and improvements, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.

Perform and/or manage ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs within office spaces.

Create vendor files and check the accuracy of the completed paperwork.

Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads in compliance with the rules defined by the applicable H&S regulation.

Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

Good customer relationship skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
