About the Role

As an ELIS Site Operations Leader, you will oversee all on‑site Enterprise Lab Instrumentation Services (ELIS) activities at the Beerse campus. You will lead a team of ELIS Supervisors who manage technicians responsible for maintenance, calibration, qualification, and repair of a diverse range of laboratory instruments.

You are the primary point of contact for the client, representing CBRE on site and ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and high‑quality service delivery across all instrumentation programs.

This role is part of the ELIS Technical Services function, which focuses on delivering reliable, compliant, and innovative instrumentation services that ensure laboratories remain audit‑ready, efficient, and scientifically productive.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & People Management

  • Provide formal supervision to ELIS Supervisors, overseeing their staffing, daily operations, training, and development, including performance evaluations and coaching.

  • Ensure Supervisors effectively lead their technician teams, meet service KPIs, and maintain compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Establish work schedules, prioritize service activities, and ensure resource availability for all instrumentation programs.

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the face of ELIS and CBRE to the on‑site client, serving as the primary escalation point for operational, technical, and service‑related topics.

  • Conduct routine client meetings, communicate service performance, and address unresolved or complex instrumentation service issues.

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with scientists, lab managers, quality teams, EHS, and engineering stakeholders.

Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

  • Oversee execution of service programs for lab instrumentation, ensuring preventive maintenance, calibration, qualification, and repair activities are delivered on time and within standards.

  • Ensure Supervisors apply consistent procedures, documentation practices, and operational workflows aligned with CBRE and client quality systems.

  • Review and optimize service operations, driving efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement across all instrumentation categories.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Oversee vendor performance for specialized instrumentation services and parts.

  • Support Supervisors in selecting and managing external service providers, ensuring accuracy of quotes, adherence to contracts, and cost optimization.

Project & Program Oversight

  • Support large or complex lab equipment projects (e.g., instrument upgrades, relocations, lifecycle replacement).

  • Provide guidance to Supervisors managing project teams and cross‑functional activities.

  • Ensure documentation, communication, and execution follow structured project and change‑control processes.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure Supervisors produce high‑quality reports outlining key metrics, operational performance, and service compliance.

  • Present consolidated site‑level reporting to internal CBRE management and the client.

  • Ensure full compliance with GMP, GLP, GxP, EHS, and relevant regulatory or audit requirements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with regional and global ELIS stakeholders to align service delivery with broader strategies and standards.

  • Promote CBRE RISE values and foster a culture of transparency, teamwork, and proactive problem‑solving across the site.

What You’ll Need

  • High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field preferred.
A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

  • 5+ years of experience in technical equipment, lab instrumentation services, or similar environments.

  • Proven leadership experience, preferably overseeing Supervisors, team leads, or service teams in a laboratory or technical setting.

  • Strong understanding of laboratory instrumentation, service workflows, calibration/maintenance principles, and quality/compliance expectations.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including scientists, facility leadership, and vendor partners.

  • Strong organizational skills and an investigative mindset, able to evaluate multiple data sources and drive informed decisions.

  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence in a regulated scientific environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to meet physical requirements typical of lab support roles, including walking, standing, bending, and handling lab equipment as needed.

  • This position is onsite in Beerse.
