Role Overview

The Autonomy Project Lead provides delivery leadership for2–3 cross‑functional engineering teams driving the Mine Star Modernization initiative. This role leads complex,AI‑enabled modernization programs, transforming legacy Mine Star capabilities into secure, highly available, micro services operating across on‑premise and AWS environments.

This leader owns delivery execution, predictability, quality, and risk management, ensuring teams deliver modernization outcomes aligned to autonomy, platform, and enterprise objectives. The role partners closely with Product Management, Platform Engineering, SRE, and Autonomy stakeholders to consistently deliver value while operating within enterprise agile and platform standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own delivery for 2–3 cross‑functional engineering teams delivering Mine Star modernization for specific domains within Mine Star
  • Drive end‑to‑end delivery execution, including planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, quality, and schedule commitments.
  • Lead agile execution using Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery models, facilitating all core delivery ceremonies.
  • Proactively identify and remove delivery impediments; manage cross‑team, platform, and infrastructure dependencies.
  • Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlog readiness, prioritization, and alignment to Mine Star modernization roadmaps.
  • Coordinate with Platform Engineering, SRE, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure cloud‑native deployment readiness, reliability, and operational stability.
  • Ensure modernization aligns with autonomy, safety‑critical, and operational performance expectations.
  • Use delivery metrics and execution insights to drive continuous improvement and inform leadership decisions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in software delivery, engineering project leadership, or agile delivery roles.
  • Proven experience leading teams delivering enterprise‑scale or business‑critical platforms, preferably in modernization or platform transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices in complex, multi‑team environments.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud deployments(AWS and on‑prem); exposure to Kubernetes and cloud‑native architectures preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Delivery Lead, Engineering Project Lead, Program Lead, or Scrum Master.
  • Experience supporting operationally critical, high‑availability, or autonomy‑related systems.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, facilitation, and risk management capabilities.
  • Experience working with platform engineering, SRE, and Dev Sec Ops teams.
  • Agile or delivery certifications (CSM, PSM, SAFe, PMP, or equivalent).
