MWM Security Consultant (m/f/d)

About the position

The Security Consultant supports MWM’s commercial and operational activities across the EAME region by ensuring consistent security practices at our facilities and providing incident‑level operational support. The role works closely with the Commercial Manager, Global Security, Facility Security Managers and EHSS teams to strengthen security measures, manage risks and respond effectively to emerging issues. This position offers a unique combination of operational security work, cross‑functional collaboration and hands‑on support in the field.

What will be your task at this position?

  • Security Risk Assessment and Operational Support
  • Conduct security risk assessments and basic threat analyses for MWM EAME facilities and operations
  • Identify routine vulnerabilities and recommend practical mitigation measures
  • Support implementation of corporate security standards and procedures at EAME sites
  • Assist with physical security audits together with Regional EHSS and Facility Security Managers
  • Workplace Violence Prevention and Training Support
  • Support Workplace Violence (WPV) prevention initiatives, including training and awareness sessions
  • Provide field observations and feedback to EHSS and Global Security on WPV‑related risks
  • Incident Response and Coordination
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for regional security incidents
  • Support routine fact‑finding investigations and assist Global Investigations in complex cases
  • Provide on‑site support during emergencies or operational disruptions
  • Travel and Regional Risk Monitoring
  • Monitor regional developments affecting employee safety or business continuity
  • Share relevant alerts with the Commercial Manager, EHSS and Global Security
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Facility Security Managers, Regional EHSS, Caterpillar Regional Security and local emergency responders
  • Maintain productive relationships with law enforcement, fire services and medical responders
  • Support communication with facility leaders, regional teams, employees and contractors
  • Emergency Preparedness Support
  • Assist facility teams in maintaining and exercising emergency response plans
  • Participate in table‑top exercises and support Regional Incident Management Team activities
  • Help validate business continuity and resilience measures at high‑risk locations
  • Customer and Project Support
  • Provide security‑related input for customer projects and service activities
  • Ensure alignment with established corporate security standards

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred, not mandatory)
  • 2–3 years of experience with law enforcement, military, intelligence or private‑sector security (required)
  • Experience in asset protection or information security (advantage)
  • Understanding of general business operations (infrastructure, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, customer processes)
  • Experience with risk management and security assessments
  • Highly proactive approach to improving or developing processes
  • Strong analytical, decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and levels
  • Professional certifications such as ASIS CPP or PSP are an advantage
