Are you an electrical technician who enjoys independent work, traveling, and new challenges?

We are looking for someone who is not afraid to go on service assignments, mainly across Europe and in some cases also worldwide. You can live anywhere in the Czech Republic – proximity to the German border may be an advantage due to easier travel.

As a Service Technician for MWM, a well‑known brand specializing in gas engines and power generation solutions and part of Caterpillar Inc., you will be provided with a fully equipped company van and take part in service trips lasting approximately14 days, after which you return home.

This position offers a high level of independence, flexibility, and the opportunity to work in an international environment. Communication takes place in English or German, and you will become part of an experienced team responsible for the maintenance and servicing of MWM gas engines and combined heat and power (CHP) units across Europe.

Job Responsibilities:

• Independent execution of repair and service work with a focus on instrumentation & control (I&C) and electrical engineering
• Assembly work on MWM engines, generator sets, or combined heat and power (CHP) units
• Diagnostics and troubleshooting of MWM gas engines and related peripheral systems
• Resolving technical issues and ensuring reliable operation of the equipment
• Preparation of handover protocols, service reports, and updates to technical documentation (e.g. inspection plans)
• Support during commissioning of complete MWM systems and their final handover to customers
• Traveling across Europe with a fully equipped MWM service vehicle

Your Profile:

• Completed vocational or technical education in electrical engineering with a valid electrical certification
• Basic experience with gas engine technology (e.g. commercial vehicle engines or CHP systems)
• Practical experience with electronic engine control and system controls
• Experience with servicing CHP units or backup power systems is an advantage
• Conversational knowledge of German or English to communicate with customers and internal teams
• Willingness to travel regularly across Europe
• Valid Category B driving license
