Position Overview The Aftermarket International Key Account Manager (IKAM) is a strategic sales professional responsible for managing and expanding relationships with major international customers (those with a European or global footprint). You will serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring their needs are met while driving sustainable business growth and profitability.
In this highly visible and strategic role, you will coordinate cross functional teams, lead major project negotiations, and drive the adoption of Carrier Aftermarket solutions across multiple HVAC segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop international key account relationships, acting as the central point of contact and aligning internal stakeholders across countries.
- Lead and support major opportunity pursuits, coordinating national account teams and engaging at senior decision‑maker level.
- Drive sales growth of Carrier Aftermarket solutions and services across selected key accounts.
- Create, maintain, and execute formalized account plans, ensuring alignment with the customer’s investment roadmap and Carrier’s long‑term strategy.
- Negotiate major international projects and ensure seamless cross‑border collaboration.
- Develop and implement European framework agreements that form the foundation of long-term business partnerships.
- Ensure each key account stakeholder has a dedicated Carrier contact, strengthening long‑term relationships.
- Monitor and report on account performance, maintaining accurate account activity records, forecasts, and pipeline.
- Track share‑of‑wallet evolution and influence key account sourcing strategy.
- Understand and influence market trends, ensuring alignment with Carrier’s Aftermarket and Service offerings.
- Play a strategic role contributing to growth in key verticals such as Industry and Hospitality.
- Bring a strong blend of commercial acumen, technical understanding of HVAC, and cross-cultural communication skills.
What You Bring
- Bachelor-level working and thinking capacity in a commercial-economic field with technical affinity.
- Education in HVAC or a similar technical discipline is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of international commercial experience in a similar role.
- Experience in direct and indirect leadership.
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques, sales strategies, market developments, and industry trends.
- Familiarity with client data systems, Salesforce, and MS Office.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; French and/or German is a plus.
