About the role

As a SAP EWM Consultant, you will be responsible for guiding, supporting, and sustaining SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions within Carrier’s SAP core landscape, supporting template deployments for North American operations.

This role partners closely with the Digital Factory, Operations teams, and other Digital (IT) COEs to define, design, deploy, and sustain integrated SAP solutions across Sales & Distribution, Materials Management, Logistics Execution, and Warehouse Management, ensuring scalable, efficient, and sustainable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As a SAP EWM Consultant, you’ll be responsible for:

• Monitoring and resolving SAP EWM and logistics-related incidents within agreed SLAs

• Performing root cause analysis for recurring issues and implementing permanent fixes

• Documenting resolutions and maintaining a knowledge base for common issues

• Providing expert-level functional support for SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) systems to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

• Troubleshooting complex issues related to inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes

• Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying risks to minimize downtime

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (IT, Logistics, Operations) to ensure seamless integration and data flow

• Supporting and implementing configuration changes and enhancements based on business requirements while adhering to governance standards

• Participating in system upgrades, patches, and regression testing

• Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and audit requirements

• Analyzing system performance and optimizing EWM processes for efficiency

• Providing functional support for EWM processes such as LOSC, POSC, inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse management

• Conducting refresher training sessions and creating user guides for new functionalities

• Maintaining accurate documentation for configurations, processes, and support activities

• Identifying opportunities for process automation and system enhancements

• Supporting testing cycles including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT, as well as biweekly releases

• Supporting go-live and hypercare activities, troubleshooting in real time with warehouse floor personnel and supervisors

Requirements

We are looking for people who are highly experienced, hands-on, and capable of supporting complex SAP warehouse and logistics environments. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

• 7+ years of experience working as an SAP LE / SD Consultant

• 7+ years of experience working as an SAP WM Consultant

• Hands-on experience leading multiple SAP implementation projects, with strong solution design and architecture capabilities

• Experience with full configuration and implementation of Sales & Distribution and Logistics Execution

• Strong functional knowledge in SAP MM / LE, including MRP, requisitions, purchase orders, inventory management, material valuation, inbound and outbound delivery processing, shipment processing, and shipment costing

• Experience with at least 3 full life cycle SAP implementations, including production support

• Strong understanding of logistics-based SAP modules including SD, MM, LE, and PP

• Experience in requirements gathering, master data management, customization, configuration, testing, and training

• Experience supporting manufacturing business processes such as MTS, MTO, and ETO models

• Hands-on functional support experience for SAP EWM / WM, including:

Outbound: wave management, transportation unit creation, pick/pack/ship processes

• Inbound: receiving, quality inspection, putaway strategies

• Production integration: staging to/from production supply areas (PSAs)

• Batch management and inventory controls

• Strong experience supporting warehouse floor operations during go-lives and hypercare phases

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills​

• Fluent English
