About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer (Outdoor Unit) to support new product development (NPD) for air conditioner products, with a focus on structural design, cost optimization, and component sourcing.
This role plays a key part in ensuring design competitiveness, cost efficiency, and product reliability, while supporting mass production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop structural components for air conditioner outdoor units
- Create and maintain 2D and 3D drawings using Solid Works
- Develop and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) for production
- Conduct cost analysis and drive cost reduction initiatives for components and materials
- Identify and source alternative components, materials, and processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Ensure designs meet customer requirements and international standards
- Perform testing and validation to ensure structural performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve design and performance-related issues
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in air conditioner or HVAC product design
- Strong experience in structural design and product development
- Experience in cost analysis, BOM management, or cost reduction initiatives
- Proficient in 2D/3D design tools (Solid Works)
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and material selection
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good command of English
