About the role

• The primary scope of this position is to lead an engineering team to accomplish the new chiller or heat pump product development to best meet regional or global market needs by integrating multiple technologies from scratch.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Sr. System Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

• Lead an engineering team to achieve program targets as an engineering leader
• Collaborate with product marketing teams to develop new product requirements and ensure the product meets their needs when launched
• Coach and support junior engineers to achieve program targets
• Conduct thermodynamic based design, modeling, and optimization of chiller system
• Develop chiller system architecture that meets or exceeds the product development requirements
• Develop and optimize heat exchangers in collaboration with heat transfer technology experts
• Collaborate with the compression team to seamlessly integrate the compressor design into the chiller design
• Develop chiller control requirement to meet product performance and reliability requirement
• Validate product design performance, capability and reliability in the laboratory and field
• Collaborate with supply chain to meet product cost target
• Collaborate with manufacturing faculties to effectively implement design into production
• Document best practice or standard work
• Other tasks assigned by supervisors or managers

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

• MS or above
• Refrigeration & Cryogenics, Heat transfer or other related engineering majors
• 5 yrs of experience for MS or above, or PhD with 3 yrs working experience
• Proficiency with Power

Point and Excel:

• Experience with Python/Fortran/C/Matlab/VBA software for engineering simulation or optimization preferred
• Fluent English (both written and spoken)
• Open-minded, outgoing, adaptable, active, and aspiring
• New product development management experience preferred
• Excellent presentation skill preferred
• Water cooled chiller development experience preferred
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external customers
• Willing to work in a global team
