We are looking to hire a Specialist, Production Services Casting. This position is responsible for recruiting Production Services roles, inclusive of Stage Crew, Lounge Technicians, Assistant Production Managers (Lighting, Sound, Crew Chief), Production Manager (360 Venue), and Senior Production Managers 1 & 2, while also scheduling and maintaining rotational oversight for current teammates in these positions. They will be expected to review all resumes and interview videos and conduct interviews as they relate to each position, including technical specialties. Responsibilities:

Creates, plans, and executes recruitment opportunities and auditions for above disciplines as required.

Partners with Scheduling Team on rotational oversight for Production Services Department.

Attends recruitment conventions and events to bolster the incoming applicant count for key positions.

Working collaboratively with the shipboard team and Manager, Production Services to fulfill any requested or trade mandated needs.

Manages and monitors the recruitment aspect of Princess Cruises’ Entertainment Website in respected disciplines along with additional recruiting platforms.

Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Fleet Personnel, Global Talent Partners with the onboarding of new teammates.

Review appraisals for onboard teammates with the goal of guiding individual improvement and growth.
Knowledge & Skills:

Scope: This role will have the authority to evaluate all candidates’ qualifications during the hiring process as well as make all hiring decisions for new Production Services roles. Additionally, they will make all decisions regarding the proper assignment of current teammates to vessels based on their qualifications, appraisals, and based on the business needs. They will partner with management and the scheduling team to assess teammates and action to provide the best resolutions.

Problem-solving: The Specialist is expected to handle complex casting decisions, balancing talent quality with logistical and budgetary constraints.

Impact: The role has a significant impact on the overall guest experience by ensuring high-quality entertainment.

Leadership: The Specialist will lead the casting process, manage relationships with performers, and coordinate with various departments for all roles:

Knowledge: Understanding of workplace policies and procedures / Familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.

Abilities: Ability to maintain reliable and consistent attendance / Capacity to be punctual and meet deadlines / Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work as part of a team / Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions and tasks.
Requirements:

Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other web-based applications.

Engaging individual with keen sense for assessing the suitability of an incoming candidate in various comparisons.

Proven people management skill set

Minimum 2 years of work experience in cruise or live entertainment industry.
-
Minimum 2 years in a casting or recruitment role in cruise or live entertainment industry.
Travel: 25-50% with shipboard travel likely
Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Physical Demands: Work beyond normal business hours or on weekends may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects, or operations.
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Princess office Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the area.
