This position will be part of the Maritime Asset Strategy Senior Leadership Team and supports the global MAST (Maritime Asset Strategy Transformation) Program by overseeing the Corporate wide initiative of standardizing Inventory Controls (IC) through establishing a Center of Excellence (COE). The Inventory Controls COE being foundational to drive and realize MAST benefits through leveraging the global scale of our business, having right parts at the right time and driving operational efficiencies.

This role requires a strategic leader driving inventory excellence – governing standards, enabling inventory / spend visibility and compliance, and coordinating with the MAST TMO and Brand Leads / Liaisons to execute targeted shipboard and shoreside initiatives, foster accountability, and accelerate best practice adoption across brands and Corporate.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning

  • Provide guidance and support to enhance team members' skills and capabilities"

  • Set Strategic Inventory Controls Direction – Define the vision for inventory controls and inventory management, aligning with broader MAST goals and organization priorities

  • Program / Center Leadership – Lead planning and execution of inventory initiatives, including resolving key issues, managing interdependencies, and mitigating execution risks

  • Resource and Budget Oversight – Allocate IC COE and inventory resources effectively and oversee related / adjacent budget planning (e.g., support annual CAPEX spend)

  • Governance and Standards – Establish / enforce inventory control role performance standards, personnel training requirements, and IC certification protocols

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Management – Coordinate with functional leadership, resolve cross-functional and cross-brand issues, and ensure alignment across teams

  • Communication / Change – Approve internal and external inventory-related comms and ensure leadership is informed of key decisions and risks

  • Execution Management – Drive completion of IC COE and Brand / shipboard tasks, KPI development, monitor progress, and ensure accountability across the organization

  • Continuous Improvement – Foster a culture of performance, compliance, and rapid adoption of best practices across brands

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

  • Supply chain credentials / certifications desired (e.g., ASCM)

  • Demonstrated success managing inventory with deep knowledge of operations and logistics

  • Background with proven ability / experience to set vision and lead complex inventory and supply chain initiatives

  • 15+ years of total work experience, with 10+ years in inventory controls, purchasing, and logistics leadership

  • Skilled in creative problem-solving, including quantitative and optimization modeling

  • Deep expertise in product forecasting, demand planning, and inventory replenishment, with strong project management capabilities

  • Operate at an executive level, setting direction via strategic planning and high impact decision-making

  • Operate with a global, cross-brand perspective – balancing local needs with enterprise-wide priorities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong stakeholder management. skills with experience influencing senior leadership across functions

  • Skilled in budget management, cost optimization, and aligning inventory. strategy with organization goals

  • Strong strategic thinking, risk management, and execution tracking capabilities

  • Extensive experience across dispersed geography, high-volume, high-SKU operations

  • Proven success in deploying resources, information systems, and vessel-based inventory teams to drive strategic growth and operational goals

  • Partner closely with senior leadership across functions and brands to ensure alignment and execution

  • Apply a data-driven approach to monitor outcomes and drive accountability

  • Conduct quarterly shipboard visits to observe practices firsthand, identify improvement areas, and reinforce standards

  • Partner with IT, Internal Audit, Health & Environmental Safety and adjacent teams to enhance inventory visibility, automation and analytics

Physical Demands: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Travel: Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely

This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
