The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all transportation operations within the organization, including shuttle services, private transfers, and other guest or client transport needs at one or more Carnival Corporation owned and operated global destination. This role involves managing daily operations, coordinating schedules, supervising staff, monitoring vehicle maintenance and safety compliance, and implementing process improvements to ensure services are safe, efficient, and of high quality. The Transportation Supervisor also provides training and guidance to team members, resolves operational issues, and works closely with other departments to deliver a seamless, positive experience for all passengers while supporting overall organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Operations & Team Management

  • Supervise and coordinate all transportation services, including shuttles, private transfers, and guest transport options.
  • Ensure timely, safe, and high-quality transportation service.
  • Manage and lead a team of drivers and coordinators, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Handle guest interactions professionally and resolve complaints or issues to ensure a positive experience.
  • Coordinate schedules and logistics with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Manage transportation reservations, including group bookings and special arrangements.

2.

Compliance & Quality Control:

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Foster a positive work environment with strong customer service standards.
  • Implement and monitor service standards to ensure consistent, high-quality guest interactions.
  • Develop procedures for efficiently handling high guest volumes and special requests.
  • Ensure operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols for staff and guests.

3.

Reporting & Maintenance:

  • Monitor vehicle fleet maintenance, cleanliness, and safety, addressing issues promptly.
  • Track and manage transportation budgets, including maintenance, fuel, and staffing costs.
  • Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Develop strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

4.

Support & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless transportation operations.
  • Assist management with special projects or operational improvements as needed.
  • Communicate operational challenges and feedback to management promptly.

SKILLS SPECIFICS:

  • Proven leadership and team management abilities, with excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and operational best practices.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Transportation Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation management or a related role, with a strong focus on guest services.
  • Prior experience in customer service and transportation operations is preferred.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly speak, read, and write English to effectively give and receive instructions, interact with guests and team members, and interpret written procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fit and capable of working in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to changing weather conditions and occasional operation of machinery.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality guest service and critical thinking under pressure.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Flexibility to work different shifts as required.
  • Detail orientated with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to multi-task and think critically
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong planning and coordination skills, especially in handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • May be requested to work a shift schedule while at any of the destinations.
