The Landscaper is responsible for maintaining an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment for both internal and external guests at one or more Carnival Corporation owned and operated global destination. Duties include, but are not limited to, mowing, edging, bed grooming, pruning, fertilizing, blowing, weed control, and irrigation repair. The Landscaper plans and performs landscaping maintenance activities in accordance with established schedules, standards, and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Landscaping and Plant Care

• Trim and prune trees and hedge overgrowth.
• Apply fertilizer and pesticides as needed.
• Remove weeds and dead plants to encourage healthy plant growth.
• Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass.

Grounds and Facility Maintenance

• Rake, clean, and maintain assigned areas.
• Assist with basic grounds/beach upkeep as needed.
• Remove and dispose of trash from assigned areas.
• Assist in maintaining the shed.

Safety, Compliance, and Reporting

• Promote a safe work environment and comply with all company safety competencies and policies.
• Uphold environmental policies and procedures.
• Complete work logs and report any issues.

Equipment Handling and Other Duties

• Load and unload landscaping tools.
• Ensure all supplies and equipment (e.g., rakes, shovels, hoses, clippers) are maintained and properly stored at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

SKILLS SPECIFICS:

• Basic understanding of irrigation systems, hand and electrical tools usage

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience is required; additional education in Hospitality or a related field is a plus
• At least two years minimum experience in landscaping.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be physically fit.
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to multi-task and think critically
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong planning and coordination skills, especially in handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• May be requested to work a shift schedule while at any of the destinations.
