We are looking for an Onboard Signage Specialist. This role manages both physical and digital signage for the Holland America Line and Seabourn fleets, Holland America Line land properties, and oversees operational and dry dock signage projects from intake to installation. This role coordinates with multiple internal teams and manages vendors to ensure signage meets branding, regulatory, and accessibility standards, while maintaining systematic documentation and clear communication across departments. The position requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex scheduling and installation challenges, all while supporting business needs and upholding corporate policies.

Responsibilities:

Manage Ongoing Operational signage:

  • Reserve annual Repair & Maintenance funding with technical stakeholders

  • Intake ad-hoc signage requests from the fleets, review with Marketing and Guest Operations as needed

  • Relay needs to vendor, produce new spec as needed

  • Review artwork to meet branding specifications, and ensure compliance with ADA, USPH and VSP posting requirements.

  • Facilitate Purchase Orders, document new specs, contracting as spare parts in purchasing systems when appropriate.

  • Oversee installation visits and provide detailed placement instructions with both vendors and shipboard teams.

  • Manage and communicate project status clearly to internal teams and vendors

  • Seek to improve systematic ordering platforms and catalogs

Dry Dock Signage:

  • Manage Capital fund submissions for signage projects for each ship based on their dry dock schedule.

  • Document and update existing signage inventory pre-dry dock.

  • Compile and submit wayfinding edits with input from operational departments, Hotel Refurbishments, Onboard Revenue, Guest Experience and Marketing

  • Identify Public Venue signage scope by reviewing inventory with the operational departments.

  • Collaborate with vendors to draft and finalize designs, seeking stakeholder input and actioning feedback

  • Review artwork to meet branding specifications, and ensure compliance with ADA, USPH and VSP posting requirements.

  • Review all final Wayfinding and Public Venue designs for accuracy and obtain production approval

  • Review quotes and action Purchase Orders

  • Communicate final package to all Operational departments, Interior Assest management, and Ship's hotel and technical teams.

Digital Signage Management:

  • Manage digital signage budget and forecast for annual budget approval

  • Work with Marketing and Guest Experience teams to identify hardware needs and ensure timely ordering/installation.

  • Ensure compliance with ADA, USPH and VSP posting requirements.

  • Facilitate Purchase Orders and manage hardware inventory to ensure ships have a par stock of spares when screens fail.

  • Oversee installation visits and provide detailed placement instructions with both vendors and shipboard teams.

  • Manage and communicate project status clearly to internal teams and vendors.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Manage shipboard physical and digital signage for the Holland America Line and Seabourn Fleet.

  • Addresses complex scheduling needs for site visits and installations; consolidates project installations and expenditures to minimize cost impact.

  • Creates a consistent on board or on land brand experience for guests, provides high visibility marketing opportunities and facilitates wayfinding through simple and accurate signage.

  • Manages projects and deliverables with signage vendors. Collaborates with various shipboard and shoreside stakeholders to ensure business needs are met.

  • Knowledge: Understanding of workplace policies and procedures / Familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.

  • Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Abilities: Ability to maintain reliable and consistent attendance / Capacity to be punctual and meet deadlines / Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work as part of a team / Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions and tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • Microsoft Office 365 required

  • Adobe and Airtable experience preferred

  • Project management skills or equivalent role

  • Understanding supply chain and procurement processes

  • Managing and planning project budgets

  • Experience proof reading, reviewing ensuring quality control

  • Systemized documentation and version control

  • Clear and concise communication across multiple departments, stakeholders, and channels

Travel: Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions: Work beyond normal business hours or on weekends may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects, or operations.

This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Holland office. Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays.

  • Base Hourly Range: $23.51 to $31.73. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
