Job Purpose and Impact

The Dairy Management Consultant, will provide guidance and support to existing and new dairy customers to improve their farm profitability and sustainability. You will work in a team supporting the distributors and sales representatives of the Purina brand to consolidate and expand our presence in Nort-East areas (Veneto-Friuli). In this role, you will, with guidance, help assess customer needs, solve their inefficiencies and define the appropriate products, services and solutions.

Key Accountabilities

• Contribute to developing and delivering sales bids, presentations and proposals and participating in product demonstrations.
• Help identify and contact prospective customers, building relationships to generate future sales and repeat business.
• With basic knowledge of products, their characteristics and market, help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions.
• Plan daily activities, including customer visits and quantitative and qualitative objectives to achieve.
• Follow market and competition evolution, passing information to senior staff.
• Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in animal science, veterinary medicine, agriculture or a related field or equivalent experience
• Availability for extensive travelling in the designated area.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience in feed industry
• Excellence knowledge of Italian
• Good knowledge of English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1- 3 years of related experience at technical consulting positions in feed industry, preferably in the ruminant sector
• Ability to hold self and others accountable to meet commitments
• Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
• Strong communication skills, ability to relate openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.
