Statutory COE Controller- ESG & Non Financial Disclosures (IFRS S1/S2, Climate) - 12 months contract

Job Purpose and Impact

This role leads the end-to-end delivery of statutory non-financial/ Climate and ESG disclosures, with a focus on climate reporting under IFRS S1/S2 and relevant European regulations. It ensures disclosures are compliant, accurate, audit-ready, and supported by strong processes, documentation, and controls, while operating across multiple jurisdictions within the Global Statutory Reporting COE.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead end-to-end production of statutory non-financial and climate disclosures activities.
• Coordinate with in country cross-functional teams to develop complete, consistent, and compliant disclosures.
• Perform quality reviews and challenge processes before finalization of disclosures.
• Coordinate non-financial disclosure delivery across multiple markets and jurisdictions within the Stat COE model.
• Partner with Country Controllers and data owners to define responsibilities, validate inputs, and resolve data issues.
• Ensure disclosures are audit-ready, supported by documentation, evidence, and assurance-readiness processes and controls.
• Act as the main interface with external auditors on non-financial disclosures and assurance matters.
• Coordinate audit support, responses to queries, and follow-up on findings.
• Strengthen controls for non-financial reporting and disclosures processes through fit-for-purpose internal controls, review checkpoints, and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related Science discipline.

• More than 10 years’ experience in accounting and financial reporting, and/ or sustainability reporting.

• Prior experience in IFRS S1 and S2 reporting and/ or assurance is a strong and preferred advantage.

• Experience implementing or leading programs related to IFRS reporting readiness (IFRS S1/S2, CSRD/ESRS, TCFD, UK SRS).
