Job Purpose and Impact:

• The Senior Trader

• Dairy will be a dual Alpha and OTC derivatives trading domain specialist. You will independently generate income and control risks by performing more complex trading work, with a higher risk tolerance, providing liquidity to clients and optimize the resulting risk that will be warehoused. This role involves working collaboratively with various Cargill trading groups, sharing market intelligence, positioning, and executing trades within the regulatory framework of the swap dealer.

• Key Accountabilities

• Apply a deep comprehension of trading practices and procedures to develop and execute the long term trading strategies and books for livestock markets based on speculative and hedged positions, providing liquidity for clients, ensuring the efficient execution of trades and optimal pricing of risk.

Leverage a deep understanding of Dairy market fundamentals, to inform trading decisions and strategies. Collaborate across trading teams to share market insights and position for optimal results.

Ensure all trading activities comply with the regulatory framework governing swap dealers, staying updated on relevant rules and regulations.

Identify and act on opportunities for alpha generation by leveraging market knowledge and customer risk management strategies.

Monitor the team's profit and loss on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Independently handle and monitor higher trading positions and exposures.

Work with strategic brokers, customers and agents, as needed, to manage and monitor higher risk trading positions.

Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.

Minimum of six years of related work experience in OTC Derivatives and agriculture commodity options

Preferred Qualifications:

7+ years agricultural commodity trading experience with a proven pnl track record

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify trading opportunities and execute efficiently
An existing network within the livestock commodity trading sector
