As a Principal Risk Associate (Change Governance) on the Global Payment Network’s Risk team, you will create executive risk reports and execute processes that support key risk activities in change governance. You will create and modify reports, presentations, and processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to inform risk decisions across the Global Payment Network.
We are seeking dedicated, disciplined, process professionals who excel in a team environment and are experts in process development, execution and improvement. This individual will have demonstrated that they can improve company processes in the past, resulting in saving time and resources for the company. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities is essential to succeeding in this role. This individual must be self driven and demonstrate a strong ability to work autonomously to deliver flawless execution of executive level reporting and process improvement projects.
General Responsibilities:

Creating and executing risk processes
-
Creating executive level risk reports, creating compelling slides for executive consumption

Driving process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes
-
Analyzing, identifying and reporting on risk insights and themes
-
Providing subject matter expertise on processes when representing the department in projects and other meetings
-
Change Management process documentation and management including templating / job aides / controls
-
Lead change control efforts at the process level to ensure impacts are appropriately assessed, documented and implemented

Risk Consulting to one or more Business Areas and provide advice and guidance as required on change assessment processes

Develop and leverage key relationships with stakeholders that enable collaboration across the enterprise
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelors Degree or military experience
-
At least 3 years of experience supporting, and partnering and interacting with internal business clients.

At least 1 year of Financial Services Risk Management Experience.

At least 2 years of experience in Risk Management and Process Management,
-
At least 2 years of experience in Project Management or Communications
-
At least 2 years of experience in Analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Management, Process Management, Project Management, Risk Management or Communications
-
Lean certification or Six Sigma certification
-
At least 5+ years of experience in risk management
-
At least 5+ years of experience in process management
-
At least 5+ years of experience in project management
-
At least 5+ years of experience in problem solving
-
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Risk Specialist
Mc Lean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900 for Principal Risk Specialist
New York, NY: $131,800 - $150,500 for Principal Risk Specialist
Richmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Risk Specialist
Riverwoods, IL: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Risk Specialist
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
