Are you a seasoned client advocate with a passion for leading people and a drive to transform the commercial banking experience? Capital One is seeking a Principal Associate for our Commercial Client Operations (CCO) team. This is a unique, high-visibility role designed for an individual who is ready to manage a "pod" today with the clear trajectory to promote into a Client Service Manager role within 12–18 months. You will lead a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, balancing risk management with the delivery of an industry-leading experience.
Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Development

Manage and empower a pod of Client Service associates, focusing on their professional development, coaching, and performance management.

Recruit and retain top talent, fostering an environment of trust, collaboration, and belonging.

Provide direction and coaching to bring out the best in each individual as well as the team.
Operational Excellence & Strategy:
-
Own the client experience in all interactions, ensuring detailed follow-through and a "client-first" work ethic.

Lead the management of day-to-day pod work while identifying trends, issues, and opportunities to improve internal controls and processes.

Serve as the first line of defense for troubleshooting and as the primary POC for escalating risks to senior leadership.

Develop broad strategies by identifying "big picture" linkages across value streams, technologies, and client experiences.
Expertise & Advocacy:
-
Become a subject matter expert in Capital One Treasury Management products
-
Advocate for client needs with internal stakeholders (Sales, Product, Operations) by providing thoughtful feedback on unmet needs.

Drive to the root cause of complex problems to identify sustainable, repeatable solutions.

Work from Home Technology Requirements:

A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions

A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied via cellular data or hotspot

Hotspots and satellite services are prohibited and do not meet performance criteria required for optimal agent/customer interactions

Both Hardwire and Wi Fi internet connections are acceptable as long as speed and security requirements are met

Work from Home Living Requirements:
- Candidates must live within approximately 50 miles of one of the hub locations based in 28203, 75024, or 23238 and be comfortable coming in person whenever required with no less than 24 hours notice.
Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

At least 3 years of experience in Client Services, Customer Service, or Business Process Management

At least 2 years of People Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

4+ years of experience in Client Services or Treasury Management

Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Charlotte, NC: $98,900 - $112,900 for Client Service Principal Associate
Plano, TX: $98,900 - $112,900 for Client Service Principal Associate
Richmond, VA: $98,900 - $112,900 for Client Service Principal Associate
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
