Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney, with additional campuses in Melbourne and co-working spaces across Australia. But you have choice in where and how you work. This role is based permanently at our Sydney HQ — one of the best cities in the world to live and work. What you’d be doing in this role
At Canva, our Reward team plays a pivotal role in empowering the world to design by building innovative, future-focused total rewards strategies that attract, retain and motivate world-class talent globally.
As a Senior Compensation (Reward) Business Partner, you’ll be a recognised subject matter expert across Total Rewards. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders and People Partners to shape how we reward impact at scale — blending strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-growing, global environment.
As Canva continues to scale, this role will help evolve our reward philosophy, influence executive decision-making and design programs that position Canva as an industry leader.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Developing and implementing innovative, company-wide Total Rewards strategies that strengthen Canva’s ability to attract and retain top talent globally
- Leading high-impact projects such as job architecture evolution, M&A integrations, or expansion into new markets and talent hubs
- Partnering with senior leaders to provide strategic compensation insights that inform critical business decisions
- Using market data and forward-looking analysis to identify emerging trends and shape future-ready reward strategies
- Preparing executive-level and board-ready content on Total Rewards matters
- Mentoring and uplifting capability within the Reward function
You’re probably a match if:
- You bring extensive experience in Total Rewards within global, high-growth environments
- You have deep expertise across compensation and benefits design, with strong analytical and modelling capability
- You connect reward strategy to business performance with strong commercial acumen
- You’ve led complex, transformational reward initiatives
- You’re confident influencing senior stakeholders and presenting to executive audiences
- You balance rigour with creativity, and can navigate ambiguity with clarity and sound judgment
About the team
