We are looking for a Director, Product Marketing, to drive market expansion of Calix Smart Life managed service solutions. Calix Smart Life services are fully integrated, turkey managed service solutions communications service providers (CSP). Smart Life managed services help CSP move beyond connectivity to become true experience providers with differentiated offerings across residential, business, MDU, and community environments. Built on the Calix One platform, Smart Life—spanning Smart Home, Smart Biz, Smart Town, and SmartMDU—enables personalized, managed experiences that replace commoditized speed tiers with services subscribers’ value. This approach drives higher ARPU, stronger loyalty, and lower churn by embedding the CSP brand into everyday digital moments. Delivered through a common cloud, systems, and operating model, Smart Life reduces operational complexity and accelerates time to value, turning subscriber experience into a durable growth engine.

This candidate will fill a key leadership role within the product marketing organization, leading a small team of product marketing subject matter experts, and reporting to the VP, Product Marketing.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for all solution positioning message-aligned content for Smart Life services, acting as subject matter expert for the extended GTM marketing team.
  • Lead and align their Product Marketing team to work within a matrix organization supporting multiple GTM teams delivering market-specific strategic offers.
  • Own the solution positioning and content creation to drive Smart Life growth in MSP/MDU markets and with large service providers with multi-vendor networks within North America and growth markets globally.
  • Responsible for new product introduction (NPI) and release marketing, establishing strategic communication and enablement efforts surrounding the release of new products and features or updates to existing product.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders in Sales, Success, Commercial Strategy, and Product teams.
  • Engage customers through 1:1 meetings, speaking engagements, and executive briefings. Work closely with Calix executives to create compelling narratives and presentations that reinforce strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the Product and Commercial Strategy teams to synthesize customer, market, and competitive feedback into structured input to the Calix product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Field Marketing and GTM teams to align solution strategy to marketing campaigns, sales enablement, events, communications channels, and customer listening activities.
  • Collaborate with content strategists to create compelling marketing collateral, including webpages, solution briefs, white papers, blogs, and customer presentations

Qualifications:

  • This marketing leader must be a hands-on player/coach – personally developing compelling marketing assets and leading customer engagements while also building a small cohesive team of product marketing managers and coaching them to greater individual and team success.
  • 7-10 years relevant solution or product marketing experience – MBA preferred
  • Experience working for or marketing solutions to broadband service providers
  • Ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into clear benefits
  • Thorough understanding of marketing and launch processes for hardware and software
  • Strong written communication and public speaking/presentation skills
  • Demonstrated track record of success in a fast paced, collaborative work environment
  • Able to support periodic bursts of travel up to 20% of time

The base pay range for this position varies based on the geographic location. More information about the pay range specific to candidate location and other factors will be shared during the recruitment process. Individual pay is determined based on location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
