The Opportunity

CACI has established and upcoming positions throughout the European theater supporting multiple customers for the Department of Defense. We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement US EUCOM’s mission objectives.
Responsibilities
CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Systems Administrator (SA). This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS.
Daily activities include the configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
Sets up and maintains one or more types of computer systems such as Open VMS Systems/DSM environments, UNIX systems (SCO and SUN), Linux systems, Windows systems, and other network appliances. Performs a variety of difficult assignments associated with monitoring and controlling computer operating systems. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Analyzes system faults and troubleshoots and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems. Initiates preventive maintenance on the operating systems as well as repair to system/environment problems.
Maintains the daily maintenance and operation of business systems hosted on physical and virtual platforms. Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems. Evaluates and installs developed software during various phases of testing. Has technical expertise with multiple business systems and understand the interoperability between these systems and the current infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to: Active Directory Domain Services and Server Roles, Web Services (IIS, Apache, Share Point), Microsoft Systems Center (SCCM, SCOM), Virtual Infrastructure Services (VMware, Citrix), Messaging Services, AV/VTC Services, Enterprise Monitoring Services, etc.
Ensures the security of business systems and applications, mitigating new vulnerabilities to meet the latest Cyber/IA requirements. Reviews and prepares documentation for systems, tests and installation of software. Investigates and recommends methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Administers systems/environment solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules. Interfaces with vendors for trouble calls. Supports the planning of system/environment requirements for individual projects. May provide work direction and guidance to others.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users.
Specifically, Systems Administrator (SA) will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. The SA will be responsible for system administrator functions supporting a global Active Directory infrastructure in a mixed platform environment. The SA will provide senior level knowledge and Tier 1/2/3 support to the customer and their components to include Tier 1/2/3 infrastructure troubleshooting and support that involves the configuration and administration of servers in their area of operation.
Additionally, the SA will provide remote support and/or travel to customer servers and sites as required. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining and supporting network devices consisting of primarily Cisco routers and switches. Using this knowledge the system administrator will be successful in providing necessary administration and maintenance support of this system.
Qualifications:
Required
- Currently hold an adjudicated TS/SCI Clearance and be able to maintain
- BA/BS + 3 years recent specialized or AA/AS +7 years recent specialized or a major cert + 7 years recent specialized or 11 years of recent specialized experience
- Microsoft Certified Azure Intermediate Certification or higher preferably on Hybrid Cloud Infrastructures, Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator or equivalent Linux based certificate, or comparable computer certifications.
- CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater) with the ability to get a CASP+ or equivalent (IAT Level III 8140 Compliant) certification

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,700 - 173,900 USD
