The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Security Engineer to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaaS). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in information systems, with a specific focus on application administration in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. The role requires expert knowledge of configuring systems in accordance with DISA Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and validating STIG compliance at the enterprise level to build, deploy, maintain, and support operations utilizing tools such as Steel Cloud ConfigOS for a global deployment of ~50,000 Endpoints.

Responsibilities:

• STIG Configuration and Compliance proficiency.
• Expertly configure systems in accordance with DISA STIG requirements.
• Validate and report STIG compliance across the enterprise.
• Administer and maintain applications on RHEL.
• Develop and debug shell scripts for application management.
• Achieving DISA STIGs compliance with tools such as Steel Cloud ConfigOS.
• Effective management and understanding of web servers, application servers, containerized applications, and database servers for In-depth evaluation of proper / improper interaction with STIG requirements to avoid system instability or service disruption.
• Work with Hyper-V and Azure to manage servers in virtual and cloud environments.
• Possess working knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
• Effectively communicate (both orally and in writing) with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Must possess a SECRET security clearance
• 12+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).
• Proficiency in STIG application, review, troubleshooting, validation and compliance.
• Required DoD 8140 compliant certification such as CompTIA Security+
• Steel Cloud ConfigOS familiarity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex security tooling challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Understanding of industry compliance standards (e.g., NIST) and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is advantageous.
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging security tools.

Desired:

• Other relevant cybersecurity certifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), are a plus.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$103,800 - $218,100
