Data Analyst - Global Payment - Singapore

About Global Payment:

The Global Payment team of Byte Dance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on Byte Dance platforms including Tik Tok.

The Data Intelligence team in Global Payment leads the efforts of discovering data-driven business values for Global Payment, by collecting, visualising and mining generated data from the pipeline of whole Global Payment system. The outcomes include optimising the key business metrics, improving Global Payment products and user experiences, risk management through data intelligence, predicting the trends from historical data, etc.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop comprehensive product metrics and quantitative measurement structure based on product stages and business purposes.
2. Prototype analysis pipelines to provide insights, and provide quick responses to business inquiries and events;
3. Conduct routine and non-routine end-to-end analyses with large, complex data sets, and make recommendations on appropriate solutions;
4. Cooperate with PM / Ops team / R&D / Algo, promote the implementation of optimization scheme, and bring about the actual improvement and growth of the business.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or other related fields, or equivalent practical experience developing and deploying production-ready ML models, demonstrating the advanced problem-solving and research skills needed for complex data analysis and data mining.
2. 5 years and above relevant work experience in Data Analysis, Data Science, with at least 3 years in compliance risk quantification or KYC product analysis.
3. Proficient in SQL and Python (or R), with experience handling 100M+ records.
4. Experienced in A/B testing, including designing complex experiments and performing deep-dive analyses.
5. Experience with conducting structured data analysis on large-scale datasets to identify key business drivers and deliver actionable insights for product and risk optimization.
6. Quickly familiar with and starting a new business; Can lead a small project team to support business, with at least 2 years of mentoring or team-lead experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years and above relevant work experience from a large-scale internet business.
• Background in internet companies or payments is preferred;
• Strong interest in Data Analysis, Data Mining is preferred；
