Backend Software Engineer (Stability) - Global Infrastructure & SRE - Global Payment - Singapore

About Global Payment:

The Global Payment team of Byte Dance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on Byte Dance platforms including Tik Tok.

We are Global Infra and SRE team, serving Global Payments through stability assurance and technical reconstruction.
The working scope includes system stability, security and compliance, technical efficiency enhancement, as well as the entire technical architecture as a whole. Leading critical technical special projects across overall Global Payments subdomains.

Responsibilities:

• Optimize the critical architecture of Global Payments, design a highly available, high performance, and highly maintainable system to ensure the stability and globalization of Global Payments
• Design and implement the guarantee system of end-to-end stability of payment business
• Respond to the production issues to guarantee the payment service uptime.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical background involving software/system engineering, or equivalent working experience.
• Good programming experience with high concurrency/complex business system/service management
• Proficient in at least one of the following backend languages: C/C++/Java/Go/Python
• Strong analytical thinking and excellent troubleshooting
• Positive and optimistic, strong sense of responsibility, self-driven, serious, good team communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Payment industry background is a nice to have
