About the role
About the Team:
Byte Dance Data Center Development team is responsible for building Internet Data Center and Network in the Asia Pacific region. Our work involves, but not limiting to, DC innovation, implementing advanced technologies and renewable energy to achieve carbon-neutrality, rapid project delivery, capacity planning, process and risk control, cost management, etc.
Our team's goal is to provide Byte Dance with efficient Data Center infrastructure services to support our businesses.
- Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for backbone, CDN, and other network related resource acquisition, including but not limited to subsea cable, local loop, IPT, Peering, etc.
- Responsible for resource procurement strategy, working with multifunction stakeholders to support data center capacity planning, network design, project delivery and whole-life span management
- Responsible for external support, including but not limited to feasibility study and contract negotiations with telco carriers, legal councils, state utility companies, conducting standard procurement procedure for network resource acquisition
- Supplier and contract management, evaluation and continuous improvement, responsible for developing long-term partnership with telcos, authorities, etc.
Requirements:
- Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in the OTT, Cloud or Telecommunication industry, experienced in related industry with insight into market trends and business practices of network in APAC
- Bachelor or higher degree in Telecommunication, Computing, Engineering, Management or Economy
- Strong communication and negotiation capabilities
- Highly self-driven, able to perform well under tight timelines and pressure, with strong commitment and a results-focused mindset
