Cloud Native Observability Management Platform Engineer - Data Infrastructure

About the Team:

Join Byte Dance's Cloud Native-Observability Team! We build the data infrastructure for the company's full-stack observability products and deliver volcano-engine's observability capabilities. Leveraging k8s, Docker, Spring, and time-series engine tech, we provide high-quality, cost-effective, and high-performance time-series services.

• Key Responsibilities
• Deliver and optimize user-oriented operation products & SRE-oriented O&M products for Byte Dance and Volcengine's cloud-native time-series database.
• Develop cloud-native intelligent management platform for observability time-series engine, covering cluster lifecycle (creation, configuration, HA, disaster recovery, backup, audit, etc.).
• Build and optimize automated testing frameworks (function, performance, stability) to support observability business.
• Drive quality engineering and stability construction for observability services.

Requirements:

• Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in software engineering for large-scale production environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Proficient in Go/Java (at least one), with experience in microservice frameworks such as gin/kitex/Spring.

• In-depth understanding of Observability; familiar with at least one tool (Prometheus/Grafana/ELK Stack/Jaeger, etc.). Large-scale data experience preferred.

• Skilled in server-side multi-threading/high concurrency; good coding practices (clean code, unit testing).

• Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with MySQL/PostgreSQL; knowledge of relational DB principles or O&M experience is a plus.

• Practical experience in K8s/Yarn/Mesos (with source code knowledge) or distributed consistency protocols (Raft/Paxos) is a plus.
