About Global Payment:

The Global Payment team of Byte Dance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on Byte Dance platforms including Tik Tok.

As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Responsibilities:

• Business Development Assistance: Assist in reviewing payment-related contracts, verifying documentation and data, and supporting compliance-related tasks to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery;
• Data Analysis: Track and analyze payment industry trends, study market changes and emerging technologies, and provide strategic insights for decision-making;
• Market Research: Focus on the Japanese payment market, conducting in-depth industry and competitive landscape research.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related fields preferred;
• Strong project management skills, capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, cross-time-zone environment;
• Solid data analysis and Excel skills, with experience in strategic research, data modeling, or business valuation;
• Strong analytical mindset, able to translate data into actionable insights and strategies, and capable of interpreting financial statements;
• Fluency in Japanese is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese are required for communication with stakeholders in the China market;
• Available to work at least 3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with payment industry trends and emerging technologies;
• Experience in fintech, payment service providers, acquiring banks, issuing institutions, or card networks;
• Knowledge of product management or payment system design.
