Responsibilities:

Understand ads platform objectives and take full advantage of modern machine learning techniques to improve ads relevance and quality delivered to end users.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other disciplines to diagnose software delivery problems, optimize experiences and improve monetization efficiency.
Explore and develop core software systems and algorithms, including ads bidding, ads targeting, ads ranking, and model serving reliability.
Conduct cutting-edge research in auction, recommendation, or deep learning related problems, and apply the technology to different business scenarios.
Handle complex module R&D.
Improve system design and architecture to ensure high stability and performance of the services.
Provide assessment and integration of needed components.
Bring new ideas and technologies into the company’s platform, innovate and iterate.
Provide mentorship to senior and mid-level software engineers.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, employer will accept an additional 2 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:
Automating and managing the full release lifecycle, including code development, build, testing, validation, and deployment;
Designing and implementing large-scale, distributed online software services using programming language Java, Go, JavaScript, Ruby, or Python;
Designing and implementing software service architecture to support high throughput and fault tolerant services;
Maintaining and debugging software;
Designing and managing databases to support online services using MySQL or Redis; and
Using Unix or Linux operating system.

Type: Full time, 40 hours/week
Location: San Jose, CA
Salary Range: $264514 - $450000 per year
