Senior Manager, Patient Programs Location: Montreal (Saint-Laurent), Quebec Job type: Permanent Position Summary
The Senior Patient Program Manager is responsible for driving the strategic evolution and operational excellence of BMS Patients Support Programs (PSPs). Reporting to the Patient and Health Systems Solutions Lead, the Patient Program Manager shapes strategy, designs innovative solutions and strives for enhanced patient access and patient journeys. They serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams and external partners, collaborating closely with cross-functional brand teams, with the broader Market Access, Public Affairs, and Patient Programs team and with partners/vendors as the lead on select patient programs.
The Patient Program Manager leads program strategy, manages program operations, oversees, vendor performance and leverages insights to inform program evolution.
The patient program manager works in full compliance with laws, regulations, business rules and BMS standards of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Direction
- Lead the planning and development of patient programs including implementation, continuous evolution and potential closure
- Identify opportunities to optimize our Patient Support Programs to enhance patient and health system stakeholder experience and journeys
- Implement digitalization, automation and new technologies to simplify the patient journey and augment program efficiency
Program operations and vendor management
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations to ensure seamless patient access, enrolment, and ongoing support
- Monitor program performance through KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics; identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Manage program financials, including forecasts, budgets, invoices, while ensuring alignment with contracts
- Oversee contracts, scopes of work, and change requests
- Manage performance reviews, escalations, and remediation plans with program suppliers
- Ongoing training of program provider staff to ensure execution of strategy.
- Develop and maintain program workflows and materials
- Support audit readiness, internal reviews, and external audits by maintaining accurate operational records and evidence

Orientation stratégique
- Diriger la planification et l’élaboration de programmes d’accès aux patient(e)s, y compris la mise en œuvre, l’évolution continue et la clôture éventuelle
- Cerner les occasions d’optimiser nos programmes de soutien aux patient(e)s afin d’améliorer l’expérience et le parcours des patient(e)s et des intervenant(e)s du système de santé
- Mettre en œuvre la numérisation, l’automatisation et les nouvelles technologies pour simplifier le parcours des patient(e)s et accroître l’efficacité du programme
Opérations du programme et gestion des fournisseurs
- Superviser les opérations quotidiennes pour assurer un accès, une inscription et un soutien continu harmonieux pour les patient(e)s
- Surveiller le rendement du programme au moyen d’indicateurs de rendement clés, de tableaux de bord et de paramètres opérationnels; déterminer les risques et les possibilités d’amélioration
- Gérer les aspects financiers du programme, y compris les prévisions, les budgets et les factures, tout en assurant la conformité aux contrats
- Superviser les contrats, la portée des travaux et les demandes de changement
- Gérer les évaluations du rendement, les transmissions hiérarchiques et les plans de correction avec les fournisseurs de programmes
