**A.**EHSS &Facility Support Across China Sites

  • Support the department head and site facility teams in managing daily EHSS programs for BMS China.
  • Work with facility teams across China to ensure compliance with national/local EHS regulations and BMS Global Standards and Procedures.
  • Participate in routine EHSS site inspections and follow up on corrective and preventive actions with site facility teams.
  • Manage and maintain EHSS recordkeeping systems, including incident tracking, training records, corrective actions, and workers’ compensation documentation.
  • Assist in planning and executing EHSS-related training, drills, and campaigns such as Earth Month, Safety Month, or site‑level EHSS promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and R&D functions to strengthen safety management for events and activities, including risk assessments and onsite checks.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional efforts to develop and enhance critical control measures per the China Crisis Management and Emergency Response Plans.

B.Living Life Better Program & Wellbeing Initiatives

  • Support the department head in managing the BMS China Living Life Better (LLB) employee wellbeing program.
  • Contribute to the development of annual LLB goals, activity plans, and implementation timelines.
  • Collaborate with various PBRGs and external partners to design and execute annual wellbeing campaigns and events.
  • Partner with Global Wellbeing Strategy to promote and enhance usage of the EAP platform.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of the China Mental Health Ally (MHA) network; organize periodic mental health promotion activities.
  • Maintain communication with the CEO Roundtable on Cancer, ensuring continuous compliance with the Gold Standard requirements and certification renewals.
  • Collaborate with Employer Brand Marketing & Engagement to share BMS wellbeing best practices across industries, supporting corporate brand enhancement.

Succession Planning & Future Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily EHSS & Facility operations to build foundational knowledge and operational experience.
  • Prepare for potential transition to site-level EHSS & Facility responsibilities within approximately two years, based on organizational needs and team retirements.

On-site Protocol

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
