What you’ll do
The Banking Specialist Manager will lead and scale a high-performing team of Banking Specialists focused on driving adoption of Brex’s business account suite, including checking, treasury, and sweep products. The Banking Specialist team is critical to growing Assets Under Management (AUM), expanding customer relationships, and maximizing long-term revenue across Brex’s customer base.
As a people leader, you will coach, develop, and motivate a team that partners directly with Founders, CFOs, Controllers, and other senior finance leaders. You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on deal support, operational rigor, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure your team consistently exceeds targets while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced fintech or banking environments, brings strong financial services expertise, and is passionate about building teams that operate as trusted financial advisors to customers.
Responsibilities

Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Banking Specialists to consistently meet and exceed AUM and revenue targets

Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-first selling

Conduct regular 1:1s, deal reviews, pipeline inspections, and performance coaching

Own team performance against core banking metrics, including product adoption, AUM growth, and upsell conversion

Own weekly forecasting, pipeline health, and performance reporting for your team

Use data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate insights into action plans

Work closely with Account Executives, Relationship Managers, Customer Success, Product, and Risk teams to drive seamless customer experiences

Partner with Enablement to support onboarding, ongoing training, and licensing requirements

Provide feedback from the field to influence product roadmap and banking strategy

Partner with leadership to refine processes, coverage models, and go-to-market strategies

Recruit, hire, and onboard new Banking Specialists as the team grows

Contribute to building scalable playbooks, best practices, and enablement programs for the Banking organization
Requirements
-
5+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, banking, or related sales roles
-
2+ years of experience managing and developing high-performing sales or banking teams
-
Active Series 7 and Series 63 (or ability to obtain/reactivate)

Strong understanding of business banking products (checking, treasury, cash management, sweep programs, etc.)

Proven ability to coach consultative, outbound and inbound sellers to exceed goals

Experience owning forecasts, pipelines, and performance management
-
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior finance and executive stakeholders

Highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable operating in fast-growth environments
Bonus points

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field

Familiarity with credit card management, encompassing a deep understanding of limits, rewards, and underwriting

Keen awareness of the competitive landscape, industry trends, and market dynamics

Familiarity with sales tools such as Gong, Salesforce, Outreach, etc.

Prior experience scaling a new or evolving team
Compensation
The expected OTE range for this role is $194,360 - $242,950. The starting wage will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. The OTE figure listed here includes base salary and commissions, which may or may not be earned depending on performance. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
