Castrol India Supply Chain Finance Manager where base location is Mumbai and details mentioned below: Let me tell you about the role:

It is a critical in driving accuracy in COGS cost management and in driving efficiencies in supply chain through focused performance management.

The individual will own the Supply Chain -Finance team for CIL. This includes Plant Finance and COGS Manager - leading on safety, motivating staff, building capability, developing talent and ensuring strong performance management processes and supporting the standardization and simplification agenda. The role also is dotted line manager for COGS analyst in service center and Working Capital Finance Manager.

This role will report to Castrol India Commercial Finance Manager (CIL CFO & Whole Time Director) and dotted line reporting to Director Global Supply Chain-India.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure a robust GSC Financial Performance & Planning Process

Ensure Finance accountabilities are met with respect to The latest COGS estimates, Product Cost Competitiveness, operating efficiencies and expansion projects and due challenge is there in the system and processes.

Lead digitization of all GSC finance processes and support in digitizing/ automating end to end P2P process.

Ensure the PCTP Policy is followed:

Act as the gatekeeper for Capex control processes and Participation in CFG's.

Ensuring accurate Working Capital Management & develop, maintain and supervise new and innovative ways of improving Cash & underlying performance.

Ensure right control environment at plants and appropriate financial documents operating at all plant
locations. Supervise and Review Plant Accounting.

Provide commercial support to major strategic and investment projects, in GSC Strategy Execution and to GSC operation

Experience and Qualifications:

Recognized national or international professional financial management / accountancy
qualification-ACA, ACMA

15 years post qualifications experience or extensive appropriate business experience

Numerical and analytical skills with the ability to balance detailed analysis and seeing the bigger
picture
Strong impact, interpersonal and communication skills to make a significant contribution to GSC India
while offering sound independent advice on Finance matters
Ability to challenge and influence through persuasion.
Sound financial knowledge and ability to see opportunities to simplify and streamline processes
A good understanding of accounting principles and group reporting tools
Innovative in approaching problem solving
Sound knowledge & experience of performance management activity
Solid understanding, experience of key ERP, MI and reporting systems
Digital perspective, skills and passion to digitize/ automate.
Agile and innovative thinking going beyond the role.
Bias for action - does things before being asked to or forced to by events
Innovation – looks for ways to do things better, faster and more efficiently

Castrol India Limited is a Public Limited Company (listed on the stock exchange). The reporting requirements for a listed entity are far greater than privately held companies

The Cost of Goods for Castrol is more than Rs.2000 cr., there are about 40 stock points and three plants.
The role requires good control of activities at all times and good ambitious approach using innovative ideas to deliver savings working closely with GSC team.
