About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with a strong foundation in Energy Trading domain and expertise in Trade Confirmation. This role combines traditional enterprise development with the groundbreaking of Generative AI, Business Workflow, Cloud Computing, and Containerized Platforms.

As part of our growing engineering team, you will help drive the modernization of our energy trading systems, delivering scalable, intelligent solutions that support our global trading operations. The ideal candidate is technically adept, business-savvy, and passionate about automation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications supporting trade confirmation • Implement and enhance BPM/Workflow solutions and application portal to support complex trade lifecycle processes

• Collaborate with business partners to understand energy trading confirmation requirements and translate them into scalable systems

• Integrate AI-driven features using Generative AI platforms (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, etc.)

• Build and manage deployment pipelines following CI/CD best practices

• Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications in AWS Cloud and Open Shift Platform

• Ensure performance, reliability, and security of production systems

• Participate in agile development, scrums, code reviews, and system design discussions

Required Qualifications

• Highly demonstrated ability in Java development in enterprise environments

• Java frameworks (Quarkus, Camel, Spring Boot)

• Web UI with Angular and Security OAuth skills

• Exposure to event-driven architectures (Active MQ, JMS implementations)

• Hands-on experience with BPM/Workflow Engines (e.g., Camunda, Red Hat BPM/PAM)

• Proficient in CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)

• Strong experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, etc.)

• Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes Platforms such as Open Shift

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Relational Database

• Agile/Scrum project experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical fields

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Energy Industry, specifically in Energy Trading

• Knowledge of trade and post-trade regulatory and confirmation requirements

• Experience with containerization tools

• Smart Comms Template Designer and Data Modeler

• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies and use cases in enterprise applications

• AI/ML model application experience in real-world systems
